This is a nice fairly easy pattern out of the Nashua Creative Focus pattern book called "Relax". I started it just after Christmas, and am almost done. I have the front, back, and half the sleeves done, so I am hoping to be able to finish it this weekend (1/20/06). I am making it out of Jaeger Chamonix, a lucious 50/50 blend of Angora and Merino. This is a really easy free pattern from the jimmybeanswool website, and I'm making this hat out of two strands of Blue Sky Cotton in Navy. It's for my father, who will be going through some heavy duty chemotherapy in the next couple of weeks. Karabella Cabled Hat

This is an earflap hat with cables all around. The pattern calls for Karabella Magarite, but Rowan Calmer has the same gauge. The pattern also has instructions for a wide scarf.
